removed LW but still get popup

I uninstalled LW for various reasons and I am still getting popups that it is trying to open but can't. Help.

If those various reasons are that it kept popping up after closing then you have been infected by a worm.

Try this fix first. It's the easiest way if it works

how do i get into safe mode

hold down F8 on reboot, then choose safe mode

BTW David (who made the guide) says that there is often no need to boot up in safe mode
