Default Firewall issue

I've been using limewire for over a year. It's always worked fast and effecient for me and now stumbled onto a problem. I'm not too sure about this but the globe icon does have the brick wall in front of it, it might have always been there but whatever. I still can connet and have max connection quality. But now when I try to download files it just wont start, it says needs more sources for everything. I have no firewall right now and windows already is set to have Limewire as an exception, i've already tried turning it off too. I'm stuck here, so any help would be great.

It might be due to your connection device, or ISP. We need some more details: System details - help us to help you (click on link)

Most wireless devices have internal NAT firewalls. Do you have UPnP option on the Belkin routers. I have a suspicion they don't support it. So the answer would be to forward a port. Find Belkin here http://portforward.com/routers.htm

Sigh. I've done it all. I went to that sight, followed all the steps, I set up the static IP and everything and i'm still stuck with that brick wall in front of the globe and the files just say "need more sources." I haven't checked if it does or doesn't support UPnP but I will do that now. The one thing I don't get is how it's been working perfectly fine for a YEAR and now all of a sudden it's not. I never changed or reconfigured any of my settings wether it be limewire or router so I don't know whats up. Any help from anyone else or you Contra will be great.

Alas! I've figured it out. I went into my router config and noticed that recently I had set my laptop to be the one that the router places outside my NAT firewall instead of my PC because of downloading I was doing on it. Now that i've changed the ip address back to my PC's it works just fine and the brick wall is gone. Thanks for all your time and help!

I spoke too soon...

It still isn't working haha. I thought that surely was it but it still isn't working. Even now that the brick wall is gone it still wont start downloading. My laptop is even working with the brickwall there.. this isn't making any sense. Ahh..

If you forward a port, it only applies to the computer you apply it for. And if you wanted to re-apply it for other computers on the network, they would require separate port forwards & using diffrent port numbers.

It is possible for LW to work even if the brick wall icon is there for some people. eg: I have a port forwarded for one computer. If I use it on another computer during the same session, then LW says port unavailable or brick wall.

Who is your ISP?
