dialog boxes are cut off

whenever I get a Limewire dialog box, it doesn't show the bottom of the box. That means I can't see the buttons I need to select.

Either try changing skins

OR

Delete your preference folder explained in 1 and 2 .. of http://www.gnutellaforums.com/windows/36420-fixes-for-limewire-when-lw-isn-t-operating-as-it-should.html

This will mean you would have to re configure Limewire again from the default.

Let us know if neither of these help ... It gets complicated then lol
