how do i browse host (when i find one with a descent connection...) when there is no such button/link as there should be per the user guide ?!

you should be able to right-click the file and drag your pointer down to "browse host".

We've actually temporarily disabled this function, as it rarely worked. We will hopefully reimplement it sooner rather than later, however, with far better functionality. It is high on our list of priorities.
