MPG Files *how do you use them?*

How do you get MPG files to play? What player will play them? Do I need to get codec?

Please answer soon.

lol  Did you bother to check the Stickies located at the top of this section? Here's an easy answer since this player has in-built codecs & we always recommend it: VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site)

BTW if you want to learn more about mpg then go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnutella & type mpg or mpeg into the search box. There's many mpeg formats. The higher the number the better the format potential. Mpeg 1 is known for VCD's. Mpeg 2 for dvd's, Mpeg4 for internet file swapping & phone dial tones, & variations of MPeg 4 for blue ray dvd & HDD dvd. There's also other higher mpeg formats in development. MPeg like JPeg is a "lossy" format which means it throws away information to help to reduce in size. The more recent the mpeg the better it is at reducing in size whilst maintaining quality.
