Default Just got the new Beta version and...

What is a .torrent? what is it, what does it do... I know, I know, I should know this...but I dont. Can someone please tell me what it is and what it does? Thanks. By the way, this whole forum has been a big help to me for about 2 years now, just wanted to say thanks.

Thanks for the link, but from what it said, it looks like BitTorrent is a peer to peer search program in iteslf. So why is it in Limewire?

Because LimeWire now uses torrents. Just do a torrent search on the internet then download the torrent with LimeWire running and LimeWire will automaticly start the torrent.

How do I do a torrent search on the internet, then I download it on Limewire or the internet. Sorry, Im just a little lost.

You go to a torrent site. Such as mininova.org and download the torrent you want. Double click it once it is saved. And it will open LimeWire if it isn't already. And start downloading. It's really simple.

Just went to mininova.org and have downloaded a movie, its working well so far, so thanks. Oh, and when I press download on Mininova.org do I save or open? I opened and its downloading on Limewire right now, does save do the same thing or different?

You can save or open. But it doesn't matter.
