ok, so i have this song (its a very old song, like from the '80s) and i want to get it to windows movie maker in my movie, but when i try to import it, it tells me that movie maker does not support this or something like that. can someone help me plz?!

You want to add the song to a video? Then you may need to convert it to WAV. Audacity is an audio editor which can open mp3's, Ogg Vorbis, etc. & you can convert your file to wav. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/windows.php

Is the file mp3 or mp4 or wma? If wma then see What you should know about WMA/WMV Files. If mp3, then see if you can remove such links. The links may be in the id3 tags. However my guess is the file contains DRM.

An m3u file is not an audio file but a playlist document. It simply tells the player where to find the audio files.
