The only way to transfere your saved folder is to back it up to an external drive or onto disks....

Default reloading the library possible?

I have changed pc's as well, and did save the shared folder with all downloaded content. Now that I have downloaded my Limewire again, is it possible to reload the saved music back into the library in the program? My daughter likes to play the music directly from the Limewire library. (which is empty right now.) The folder is on the new hard drive and not in the newly downloaded program. Thanks for any insights!

Yes you can. Go to Tools>Options>Sharing & choose your save folder as a shared folder. This will enable all files within it to show in the Library window. If you're not sure of the location, go to Tools>Options>Saving to double-check the directory location.

Thanks so much! This was TOO easy! I appreciate your speedy reply! This worked like a charm. It shows 2 shared folders now. One is empty - which is the one just created when the program was newly downloaded and installed, and then the one from the "My Documents"--> "Shared." That one has all her songs in it. Thanks a lot for the help. (I wonder if I can merge these back into one "shared" folder?)

I'm setting up my old pc as the "family" pc now. I got a new vista a couple of weeks ago! YEA! I had limewire on my old one. Also had it on the VERY OLD one which the kids formerly used. Now they have my old one, which is an upgrade for them. I didn't know how to enable the limewire to be accessible on all user accounts since the kids have been set up as limited accounts on this XP. I found that answer, browsing the forum! Then it was just a matter of how to load the formerly saved music back into the library.

This is a very helpful forum - glad I found it!
Ya'll have a great day!

Good to hear. You can move the old shared files back into the new download location if you like. And ensure that you're sharing downloads immediately. I can't recall which window this is in without opening LW. But it's one of the options in either the Saving or Sharing windows in options. However if your download location is the same as this shared folder with files of old then it shouldn't be necessary. Remember the Shared & Saved folders you see in the Library window are actually the same thing. The Saved files folder is for those people who prefer not to share their downloads but still want their new downloads to be seen in the library window.

Appreciate your help, "Lord of the Rings." I got all the music back into the default shared folder now. All is well and my kiddo is happy to see her music again! I'm really glad to have run across this forum. It has given me the information I needed, to set up a Limewire link on each user account in XP. This enables each one in the family to now have their own library, on the same computer. YEA! Since our music tastes differ, it's nice to have our own libraries! I didn't previously know how to share the program between the user accounts on XP.
This forum is great!

Have a good day everyone!
