Try fixes 1, 3 & 5 here

Fixes for LimeWire

Also make sure that you're not using any anstispyware/security that may be stopping LW from opening. Some will see LW as a threat (it's not). Make sure LW's on the list of exceptions/allowed apps for any such programs.
