Default default player

Hi,
I had to unstall windows media player then re install.before, when i clicked to view my films nero's own player was the default & i had no problem, now windows has taken over, all the files are ziped.When i extract them & try to play a sign "file is corupt from transfer" this happens evertime, how can i make nero the default player again?
