I was using version 4.12.11 before all this trouble started. I liked to keep it up-to-date and downloaded it whenever I was informed of an update.

I followed your instructions again, and everything is completely gone, except for the songs, and it didn't work again. I tried only www.limewire.com and I always try to download the Offline version.

I'm beginning to think it has something to do with the firewall, because the error message says "This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage."

Thanks for all your help, and sorry to waste your time with this.

I just want to say thank you so much for all your help and advice, and taking the time to help.
I finally got LimeWire downloaded, and can now download other programs. After 4 days of searching and trying to figure it out, I found this and followed these instructions: http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/b...ssage.id=37375

It now works fine, so if anyone else has the same kind of trouble, I recommend that you follow those instructions....if you use ZoneAlarm

Thanks again, mickjapa108 :)

why do I come up with jre-6-windows-i586.exe is not a valid win32 application?

That link works if you click on it, instead of cutting and pasting it into the address bar.

Here is what is on that link:

Go to your ZASS > Privacy > Site List, click on the 'add' button, enter www.ebay.com then click 'ok'. Now locate the site you just entered on the Site List, right click on it and select 'options'. Next go through all three tabs to uncheck everything and click 'apply' as you go through each tab. Now clean your browser cache and try the site again.
You may have to repeat the process for other sites associated with ebay on your site list

"ebay" is just an example of a site to put in.

I'm not sure why that's happening to you. Never had that happen. Sorry, I can't help you there.
