Just shout if you get stuck. |
OK this is going to be hard but i will try. I come across an error while trying to delete the new found files. In dutch it is; Fout bij het verwijderen van bestand of map Kan bestand niet verwijderen. Kan geen gegeven van het bronbestand of op de bronschijf lezen. Freely Translated it will be; Mistake while trying to delete file or map Cannot delete the file. Cannot read files from the source or sources drive. cheers, **I always thought this was some kind of standard error when you try to delete something you already deleted in Configuration/software. |
And Mr. JAPA nothing to be sorry about. I guess this forum is used so that these programs do not need to pay smart people to anwser stupid Questions. I am glad you like to help. |
I will be back tomorrow night. |
Ok If you go to Start/My computer, at top of page, Tools/Folder Options/View now enable show hidden files & folders, close that, and reboot your computer in safe mode. To boot in safe mode. Hold down Key F8 at boot untill black screen with white writing comes up then use UP button to highlight SAFE MODE, Press enter/enter a warning will come up then click ok. Let it set up, Then go back to search, You should now be able to delete the files. If not right click on file, Choose Open containing folder, try to delete from there. Just shout if you get stuck. |

These 100's of small files are downloaded by the worm itself and can be a pain From what you are saying, I would have a good clear out. Here is a method used to start from the begining. *****YEAH Follow thease instructions exactly. So, you need to Go, Start/All Programs/LimeWire n Uninstall all L/W versions. Do Not Uninstall From Change or Remove Programs. Re BOOT Your computer NOW. *****DONE Now Go to, Start/Search/click on all files n folders/more advanced options/ & make sure, case sensitive, is not ticked. (all other boxes should be ticked) Now!!, Put limewire in box, (all or part of file name) & click search. Delete everything found, including Prefetch folder, (I mean everything) Re BOOT Your computer NOW. *****DONE Search has resulted nothing (w00t) Now! Go to, START/Set Program Access/Change or Remove Programs, now completely remove all versions of java. Re BOOT Your computer NOW. *****AM working on it Now! Use this Link to get JRE 6, Use the off line installer, NOT the (recormended) one, http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp When Download is completed. Disconnect from internet, close ALL apps n reinstall java. Now!! Use this link to download latest L/W version using the off line installer http://www.limewire.com/ If you need help, Shout, If it fixed your problem or not, Feedback helps others. Peace |
Everything is done for and the pop up has gone away. The only problems I got left are: 1. My pc has never regained his old Speed. 2. I probs will never be able to download any p2p without fearing the worst. 3. Kinda off direction, but does anybody knows a remedy against "You seem to be the victim of illegal windows" Error Messages? Thanks yah all. Cheers, |
