I have a new compaq Presario. When I downloaded Limewire my Audio driver disappeared and no audio would play either via speakers or headphones. I assumed it was a coincidence and managed to download and reinstall the driver. A week later for an unrelated reason my computer crashed. I used it for two weeks to ensure the problem wouldn't recur, downloaded Limewire again, and again my audio driver disappeared. I have no idea why this happened, and it seems to work fine once I reinstall the driver, but something strange is going on there, and strange makes me nervous.

Sandra87, did you ever get a response to your post? I am having the same problem. It just started two day ago. I have always been able to hear the music until now. Any ideas?

Hey People
Have you tried rolling back the driver to one before the update. If that works, Report the fault to your software supplier. Peace.
