![]() This is really weird and I don't know how to stop it. I use Windows XP and I have the latest Limewire programme. On ocassions using Limewire and the Internet bumps my CPU usage up to 100% and the internet crashes and I can't open any other programme. I have looked at my task manager and Limewire and Monitor are the only two programmes that have any CPU usage. Limewire using over 90%. I have deleted all but a handful of audio files and there is only one incomplete file - I don't understand how Limewire can be using so much space. Is there any way to reduce this? Is this common? Any and all help is much appreciated. Scottishdane! |

![]() See if updating Java helps. Use the JRE offline installer & remove any old Java versions before you install the new one. http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp You could also try using the Beta version of LW, that's helped a few people with CPU useage issues. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml You could also disable ultrapeer capabilities (tools > options > speed, or in the Beta tools > optoins > advanced > performance). ![]() |
