every time i click on the search button in my lw pro, it freezes and shuts itself down. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, as well as doing the same for java.

any help is appreciated

Exactly which Java and exactly which operating system are you using, and did you run basic Limewire previously successfully and was that a different version to the one you are trying now?

it updated itself and is currently 'java SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1'. i use windows XP service pack 2. limewire was working perfectly a few days ago. the LW Pro is version 4.13.0. the previous version worked fine until about 2 days ago, and since then, nothing has worked.

I think perhaps you should be using Java JRE5 update 11 Installation instructions here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...20&postcount=4

If your pro payment has expired and you want to continue with your pro version make sure you still have the installer. I imagine you have A newer version 4.13.2 is available which might cure your problem.

Sorry for the delay. minor but time consuming DIY work at home + I've not been around much recently and wanted to check I had the right advise.
