quick launch tray icon

Hello, first time here.
When trying to close down the quick launch tray LW icon, (right click and select "exit", the icon disappears but then reappears. This has only just started to happen recently, any answers?
Using Windows XP SP2.

Try opening the Task Manager(Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and see if LW is listed as one of the running processes. If it is, try shutting it down by ending the process. If you can't open the Task Manager then you have a virus.
