![]() Sorry, I should've been a bit clearer & said "delete the preferences folder again" ![]() It's a good idea to delete that folder after updating or upgrading LW ![]() You could also try NT compatibility (even though you have XP) & running as administrator...see that 'fixes' thread in my previous post. Are you running Windows & Norton firewalls together? Don't...they'll conflict with each other. Turn off the Windows firewall & configure Norton to allow LW. PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall You're using a wireless adapter...what's the brand & model of the modem/router that you're wirelessly connecting to? |

![]() The D-Link Airplus G DWL-G510 is a wireless adapter & it allows your computer to connect to a modem/router for access to the internet. The adapter that you have in your PC doesn't have a firewall so that's not the culprit. Is the other computer with the other D-Link device in another room? Can you go & have a look at it & give me the model number? Then I'll be able to tell you if it has an internal firewall. Did you try reinstalling LW & if so, does it open now? |

![]() tried reinstalling the lw beta version, still no luck.. but before i did that, i didn't delete the lw pro.. if a window asked me there's an old version, i just clicked 'ignore'.. wonder if i did the right thing, or should i delete all lw files before reinstalling?.. the modem from the other computer (in another room) is Motorola SM56 speakerphone modem.. what do you think?.. |
