hi, i installed limewire once and then uninstalled it a couple months ago, everytime i install it afterwards, everything will download and finish correctly but...

i will click the icon and start up limewire, the launch screen will pop up and stay up for 1 second then disappear ( shuts down ) so i cant even get limewire to start.

what could the problem be, thanks for your help in advance.



( i deleted all java and limewire folders and files, what else could i be missing that is easy to forget to delete, anything in system devices ect.? )

seems like ever since they updated java and limewires version, it hasnt been working.

Try uninstalling your current version of java while LW is completely shut down. Go to the add/remove programs control panel and uninstall your current version of java. Now download and install J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 11(use the offline installer): Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11
