ive downloaded a movie in avi format, which is supported by my media player but it wont play. ive downloaded other avi files, too, which also will not play. is there a problem with the compression of the file and if so is there software i can download to fix it?

I do NOT recommend using the Cole2k Advanced Codecs Pack unless you really know what you're doing !
