29,429 files?!?!

Today I'm trying to clean out my computer, so when I go to my shared folder to see how much space it's consuming, it says that there are 29,429 files in the folder. I selected them to check again, and it said 460. Limewire confirmed my fears, because I checked how many files I was sharing and it said 29,429. They're clearly not there. The folder is taking up alarge chunk of my computer's space! How do I get rid of these imaginary files
