Uninstalling Limewire - Major Issues

Hello.

I am sorry to say, but I dislike Limewire very much, mostly for the fact that for the past 8 MONTHS after it has been uninstalled with the Add/Remove Programs on Windows XP, it is still showing a pop up on the desktop that when you close it, comes back up literally 5 seconds later.

There is no information anywhere on the website or on this forum at all on this issue, let alone how to uninstall Limewire.

I am so very sick and tired of seeing this pop up, and I cannot for the life of me make it go away. I even had a professional agent from a technical support company look at it, and even he couldn't figure it out.

I figured I would reinstall Limewire and then uninstall it again JUST to see if it would go away, and it will not let me install it because "an older version of Limewire is currently running and you need to select it from the task bar and close it".

There IS no Limewire on the task bar. There is no Limewire program ANYWHERE, but it keeps giving me this pop up error.

I did everything you said, exactly to a T.

I cannot get it to start in safe mode. There is no option for it, and I even went into the Help and Support section on the Start menu and even what that said did not do anything.

It probably has to do with the HARD DRIVE DETECTS IMMINENT FAILURE message I get every time I start up the computer BUT HEYYYYY.

Gee, this never started from deleting Limewire. Oh, wait.

And yeah, I know I have a virus. I probably have 3562735674623432764512512454561235125451245 of them. Despite doing everything on Earth to get rid of them, they are still there.

There is no hope.

I think Limewire is the least of your worries...I'd suggest hauling her in to a computer guru and getting her all fixed up...
