Probably a cache issue. Try running CCleaner, it's freeware and should clear your cache.

6_pac, thanks for the advice. I run ccleaner daily as well as other programs which include Window Washer and a Registry cleaner. I also go through after running these programs and remove anything left behind manually.

I did what you suggested and even uninstalled limewire(again) before running the programs, downloaded the installer once again and still it shows 4.14.2 on the installer plus in Help on limewire it shows 4.14.2..

I have never had this problem before it started with 4.14.4..guess its time to find some other p2p program, be hard finding something as good as limewire is though

I had forgot when my updates ran out. So after paying for them again and uninstalling old version and installing the new one i was able to see that the installer was installing 4.14.8 not 4.14.2...
Thank god for that, i didn't want to look around for another program that would be as good as limewire.

its times like this one feels like a stupid goose, might pay me to get more sleep next time.
