When I do a search for a title, I cannot see the results as they appear. The only way I am able to do so is to highlight the area. However when I do that, The screen freezes. What is going on? Is there something I need to do to fix this?

Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...
