The new version make it so I can't run Internet Explorer

So I just downloaded the new version and now my internet explorer won't run at the same time. what's the deal? Is my virtual memory low or what? I had the old version and it never caused me any problems like this and worked just fine. So what is so great about this new version that it is worth making my explorer not run at all until I restart the computer? Maybe my 4 yr old computer is just too old. Anyways if anyone knows anything about this or has had the problem as well please let me know how you solved it. I would love to just be able to revert to my older version that worked just fine. Or if there is a way to make it so that it doesn't mess up explorer. I have to literally restart the computer for internet to work. Closing LW only won't do it. Thanks in advance for any help!

Try the tips here.
Reduce the drag caused by LW

The Java version that you'll link to from that post is now Java 6 update 2. Some people have had problems with that Java version, so it's up to you if you want to try that one or not. I'm using it & it's fine for me.

This older version of Java has worked better for a lot of people. Download
the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java before you install this one.
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

Sometimes, one particular version of LW will cause problems for some people. What version were you using before the update?
