I just installed Limewire and tried to listen to a song as it was downloading but the Limewire Media Player would not play that, or any other song. Everything else works fine and I can listen to the songs after they are done downloading on another media player. Please help me I would like to preview my songs as they download. By the way I have a Windows 98 operating system with a Pentium 2 processor and about 128mb of Ram. Thanks again

The limewire player is a bit crappy and only works when it wants to...
So it's best to install a 3rd party player ie. itunes or WMP and make that your computers default player, that way when you want to preview or launch the file from limewire that player will do it for you... Let's say you have chosen itunes (these instructions will work for any player you choose).... To disable LW player go to Tools > Options > Player and untick the box and select apply... To make itunes your default player... Go to your shared folder (outside of Limewire) you will find this folder by clicking on one of your files in your LW library and clicking explore... Right click on one of your MP3 files Select open with Select choose program select itunes and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type Select OK
