Post these details and I will have a look at your modem/router set up, as many of them have Nat Firewalls within...It may be your ISP as well...

no it can't be the router or its firewall...my main pc allows limewire and my son's pc which has a wireless connection like my laptop also allows limewire to work fine....it's just this darn laptop...i even took off the firewall and any anti-virus/spyware ...still doesnt work..it's gotta be something else cos my other pcs allow torrents etc...if it was the router surely the other pcs wouldnt be able to access these apps either?

maybe its open in ur icons to the bottom right near the time? mine wouldnt open and i though it was stuff but it was already running?? just a stab in the dark:cantseeyou:

'Maybe' your LW is set to using the same port as another pc on same network. Changing the port LW uses may fix the issue. A router will 'reserve' a port per computer & per program. So each program & each computer needs a separate port. Else, replace the gnutella.net file from the LW preferences folder. woot .. this is an old thread. lol :D :p
