Chances are the firewall is an internal NAT or similar firewall in your connection device (modem/router).
Keep in mind windows XP & Vista have their own firewalls also. If you have a 2nd software firewall, then you should disable the windows one. ;)

Firewall is driving me insane

I am not even sure I am posting in the right place. I just bought limewire after having the free edition for quite some time. I have not used my limewire since i got a new internet company and when i tried to connect it shows a firewall in front of the little blue earth. Iam thinking that the only firewall i have is the one that comes with windows XP which is what i am using. Even with disabling the windows XP firewall I still can not search for anything. I am so confused and a bit computer illiterate so anyone that speaks plain english and can help me figure it out would be greatly appreciated.
