Default firewall help !!!!

i cant seem to figure this out......my limewire says it detects a firewall even though i have limewire listed as an exception and turn my firewall off....i did a search for firewalls and it says i have one in some onelive care file do u think i have 2 firewalls ?? if so how can i remove the onelive care one ?? anyone have any help ?

Chances are the firewall is an internal NAT or similar firewall in your connection device (modem/router).
Keep in mind windows XP & Vista have their own firewalls also. If you have a 2nd software firewall, then you should disable the windows one.

Default Firewall is driving me insane

I am not even sure I am posting in the right place. I just bought limewire after having the free edition for quite some time. I have not used my limewire since i got a new internet company and when i tried to connect it shows a firewall in front of the little blue earth. Iam thinking that the only firewall i have is the one that comes with windows XP which is what i am using. Even with disabling the windows XP firewall I still can not search for anything. I am so confused and a bit computer illiterate so anyone that speaks plain english and can help me figure it out would be greatly appreciated.

Default Firewall not letting me search on limewire

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)XP
2. What firewalls you have? Norton, but it is disabled
3. How much ram?not sure
4. Hard Disk space available?not sure
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?D-Link DCM 202
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. Limewire 4.14.10 Pro Java 1.6.0_03
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?FPU local electric company
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?Says "Your test worked!"
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.New problem
