Hi,
LW has been working fine up until recently when i try to launch any video in windows media it says a codec error has occurred and then 2 boxes come up which say "the procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic link library ws2_32.dll" and "the procedure entry point WSAproviderConfigChange could not be located in the dynamic link library ws2_32.dll". I can hear the sound but no video. What on this earth does all that mean? I found the folder for this ws2_32.dll thing, so should i remove it? Do i need it? Please help, i just want to watch ******. ry color=gray] __________________________________________________ Edited to comply with the House Rules. You might need codecs for your player. Have a look at the thread below, there are links to various codec packs
the XP Codec Pack & K-Lite packs are popluar. There's also a link to VLC player, which is free & has codecs installed to play most file types. It's a really good player ![]() CODECs list and alternate players for Movies |
