Angry My Limewire Stopped Working Completely (will not open)

Hello And thank you for checking out this thread. Yesterday, my Limewire Pro stopped working. I would click on the Icon and Nothing happened at all. It's like the program doesn't exist. I don't even get an error message. Lastnight, I downloaded the newest version 4.14.10 and it removed all the old Limewire programs and replaced them. Once again, I click on the shortcut and the menu and absolutely nothing happens. I read some of the responses in the other threads and I feel The issue hasn't been completely acknowledged. I am on a Media Center With Dual 1gig DDSR SDRam, 500gig Serial ata hard drive with no problems what-so-ever. I did full system diagnostics with PC Doctor and I went online to pC Pitstop and they agreed my PC is extremely capable, fully functioning, and blazing fast (broadband). All that being said, How can I get My Limewire that was working 2 Days ago working again?

Thumbs up I Fixed It!!!

Okay I Fixed my Limewire On My Windows XP. For the past 6 Days, Every time I tried to open LW, Nothing would happen. I went to Add/Remove programs and deleted Java and all of the updates. I went to the Sun website and Downloaded the SE version 6 offline installer. I saved the program to my documents, double clicked on the Java Icon and installed version 6 without any updates. The LW Icon on my desktop worked when I clicked on it, but an error message popped up saying an error ocurred and to download LimeWire again. I popped in my LimeWire Pro disk and Downloaded it again. I had to go through the setup process again, but I just did a quick search on my hard drive to get all my files back into the LimeWire library. I hope you didn't get as frustrated as I did, and I hope maybe this was helpful. If you need better instructions as to how I did this, Private message me and I will give you a better description of what I did to resolve the issue.

Default Good job

I have a similar problem. I have Windows Vista Home Basic and the latest free version of Limewire and I love it; nothing else will do for me. I have not used Limewire for about a week due to work. I tried to open it to download some ******* songs today and it would not come up. I have been trying to fix it since 8 am this morning it is now 9:03 pm. I thought about uninstalling Java but was a little timid about it. I'll try what you did and let you know if it works for me. Thanks
