I've just upgraded to LimeWire Pro 4.14.10. When I click on Tools to get to Options, it freezes for a second, the Options menu pops up for a brief second, then closes. I am unable to change any settings due to this. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have also tried the fixes suggested here. Changed version of Java (after removing previous version). I tried to remove the .limewire folder, but search is not finding it. Yes, I know it's hidden, and I checked the box to show hidden files. Any clue what's going on? Thanks!

u have exactly the same thing that i had...i had to format my computer
i think i had the alcra virus...or just the infamous limewire bug travelling round faster than a rabbit gets f****ed

I virus scanned, and nothing found. :-( What I don't understand is where is the .limewire file/folder?

Go to
>My computer
>tools
>folder options
>view
>"tick" show hidden files and folders

then

>my computer
>C Drive
>documents and settings
>"your name"
>application data
>limewire
