Red face WMP-whats gone wrong???? Pls HELP

Hi

Ive had LimeWire for nearly a year but im far from a advanced user just use it for audio files....

Anyway, it stopped working so i downloaded the latest version this was 4 days ago.

On the old version of LimeWire that I had, every time I lauched a song it started playing on my Windows Media Player (version 11). The songs stored there and in LimeWire automatically and I liked this.( it was easy, hassle free, no stress... i just really liked it )
Im sure this just happened automatically I can't remember setting it like this last December.........

Since downloading this new version I can't get the songs to play through my WMP. I have followed the steps on this forum to add files to the WMP library and stuff but it still isnt working.

Dont know if its.... just not possible with this version??

I would like to go back to how i used to work it...... I'm a creature of habbit.

Can somebody help?

Please

Robin x

Go to LW's library, highlight a file & click Explore...your saved folder will open. Now, within the saved folder, right click on a file > open with > choose program. Choose WMP from the list > tick the box to always use WMP to open files of this type > ok.
Now files should open with WMP.

If you want files to go directly to WMP, you'll need to use WMP to monitor your saved folder. In LW tools > options > saving shows you the location of your saved folder
Have a look at Dano's guide here for how to have WMP monitor folders.
