Red face Folders freeze when I try to open them..

I recently got a new laptop and installed the new limewire and I have had so many issues. I mainly use it for downloading embroidery files never for music and on my old laptop I would just scan the shared folders and then double click on the zipped folder and it would open in a new folder then I would copy the contents to another folder where I can file the said designs. But with this newer version I have not been able to look at anything, each tiem I open the folder then the files the whole thing freezes up and have to use the task manager to close out the folder. Does anyone understand this...lol if so please help I am very frustrated!!
