![]() these files keep appearing every single day even though i delete it everyday. my antivirus scanner found that the "crack.exe" file was a virus and i've manually blocked the "service.exe" file. the zip file called "a" appears everyday even though i delete it everyday. does anyone else also have these annoying reappreaing files? and does anyone know if these reappreaing files have anything to do with the limewire-popping-up-every-30-seconds problem? i've read several threads on the limewire-popping up problem and all of them say that AVG should be used to scan for viruses. I already have the lastest trend micro internet security so i just use that to scan. and everytime i scan the "crack.exe" files are identified as viruses. i delete them but they just come back. so what should i do now that i know there IS a virus? and what should i do about the fact that it keeps coming back every single day? is there any other solution to the limewire-popping up problem?? PLEASE HELPPPP!!! and thanks in advance for any suggestions ![]() [edit] oh, and this hidden folder called ' keeps filling itself with zip files everyday and i can't seems to delelte them. what should i do?? i think they might also be malware or some sort. and if you can, please give me your solutions in very simple terms. i'm not a very advanced user so i won't understand if you get too technical on me. lol THANKS!! ![]() Ehmuhleee You have asked for suggestion but you first said this: Quote:
OK, that said, you have two choices, do an online virus scan with one of the following:- On-Line Anti-Virus Scanners Free Virus Scan - Kaspersky Lab Symantec Security Check or you can download AVG Free and run it:- AVG Free Advisor - AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition Personally, I would do both, i.e. an Online scan then download and use AVG Free Anti-Virus. What you should remember is that not all anti-virus software "are made equal". UK Bob |

![]() GET RID OF THAT PROGRAM. I USED KAZAA AND LIMEWIRE FOR YEARS. ITS WHERE I BUILT MUCH OF MY AUDIO COLLECTION. HOWEVER, LIMEWIRE, BEARSHARE, KAZAA... ALL OF THOSE ARE ADWARE DRIVEN. YOU NEED AN OPEN SOURCE P2P PROGRAM THAT CAN ACCESS THE SAME NETWORKS LIKE DC++, STRONGDC OR MY VERY FAVORITE APEXDC++. THESE APPS ARE THE BEST AS THEY ARE GNU PUBLIC LICENSED AND DONT CONTAIN ANY UNECCESSARY CODE. EVER SINCE QUIT USING LIMEWIRE MY COMPUTERS STOPPED CRASHING AND I CAN NOT ONLY DOWNLOAD AUDIO FILES BUT DC HUBS ARE GEARED FOR MORE SERIOUS USERS THUS THEY HAVE MUCH LARGER LIBRARIES, FASTER CONNECTIONS ETC. AS FOR YOUR EXE FILE.... IM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE, HOWEVER I AM 99% SURE THAT MY KEYGEN IS NOT MALWARE. ITS NOTHING NEW FOR VIRUS SCANNERS TO REPORT BACK INCORRECTLY AND THIS MAY BE THE CASE, THUS RENDERING THE KEYGEN APP SAFE TO USE. HOWEVER THE DILEMMA REMAINS THAT SUPPORT FOR KEYGEN AND CRAK APPS IS LIMITED, TO SAY THE LEAST. SO IM RESEARCHING THE VALIDITY OF THE KEYGEN AND CRACK APPS BEING DETECTED AS TROJANS ON THE BASIS THAT SUCH RESULTS ARE A FALSE POSITIVE DUE TO NATURE OF THE EMBEDDED CODING. IT SHOULD BE NECESSARY TO RUN SOME TESTS AND/OR REVIEW THE CODE PERSONALLY TO MAKE 100% SURE ITS MALWARE-FREE. ANYWAY DONT RUN IT IF YOUR NOT SURE BUT DEF CHECK OUT: Spam Forums (Powered by Invision Power Board) TO GET THE APP AND ALL THE NECCESSARY GUIDES. THE BEST PART IS THAT IF YOU EVER NEED ANY HELP CONNECTING OR SETTING UP THE ENTIRE FORUM IS DEDICATED TO HELP US OUT. SERIOUSLY, THESE GUYS ARE GREAT. ESPECIALLY A FREQUENT POSTER NAMED BALDER READ ALL OF THIS GUIDES IT WILL HELP YOU ALOT. Last edited by Peerless; December 14th, 2007 at 10:29 AM. |

- Can't dicuss anything related to the topic of getting paid programs for free. - Don't type in all capital letters. Anyways, most things on the gnutella network are viruses, or malware of some sort. Do your research! Do what ukbobboy said. His solution actually works. Last edited by Peerless; December 14th, 2007 at 10:32 AM. |

![]() Hey buddy, how about you review the specific writing in the post before you propose to analyze whats being expressed... I do not condone getting licensed or legally protected programs for free, nor have said that I ever have. If you read my writing what I say is, "AUDIO COLLECTION" not music library. Big diff, wouldn't you say? And even if I had said music library that cannot infer that the "music" is necessarily pirated, or under any protected copyrights. You claim to know you knowing what your talking about, but as an advocate of Limewire were you aware that the free version that so many users have naively downloaded and installed to their computers for years has been known to be bundled with program called Limeshop (a variant of TopMoxie), considered by computer security experts to be spyware. Among other things, LimeShop monitored online purchases in order to redirect sales commissions to Lime Wire LLC. Furthermore, uninstallation of LimeWire doesn't remove LimeShop. You can choose to trust it but do your peers a favor and don't critisize my posts before you read it carefully and do YOUR RESEARCH (sorry about tha caps). To address ukbobboy01's suggestions, they are fine if you okay with that sort of general solution. No fault laid there ukbobboy01 but scanners are only as good as the programmers and support lists from which they're comprised. ehmuhleee you're welcome to do whatever you like but my suggestion to you, and anyone else, would remain the same; to remove Limewire completely (if you're comfortable and savvy enough to do so) and move up to a better program that has better support from more serious users. |
