Default Limewire freezes

Everytime i start limewire it seems to take 2 minutes to fully start up. (freezes 2-3 times while starting)

then when it starts up, i go to search a song and its already frozen, and it locks up to the point where i have to force shutdown on LW.

is there anything i can do to fix this? the previous versions worked FINE until a lot of this Java stuff was implemented into it
----------
Limewire is up to date, its the latest version out there
I have the latest Java as well
1.5gb ram | 1.6ghz processor | 128mb video
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2
Intel Graphics media accelerator driver for mobile

It Might be a Java issue.

First of all, install Java. Download the JRE offline installer & remove any other Java versions installed (via Add/Remove Programs) before you install the latest Java.
Java SE Downloads

After Java's installed, install LW. When you click to download the LW installer, cancel the dialog box which pops up...now use the option to download the offline installer.

Great, You're up and running. There's no telling what the issue was with the previous version. Sometimes Java is a little difficult. It is a good idea to only have one version of Java though. Also as in the earlier post I sent, using the Offline Installer seems to work better with less headaches.
