![]() I have downloaded Limewire... I then tried to open it and a pop up message said "Limewire needs the Java Runtime Environment 5.0 above. Click OK to go to java.com: Hot Games, Cool Apps, where you can install Java! So I went on the site and installed the newest version of Java. Tried to get on Limewire and it says I need to install Java. Can anyone help?? Information that might help. My computer has two partitions. I saved Limewire onto Partition C and Java on Partition C. Usually programs automatically save themselves to E unless I manually install to C. But E has little space due to it had 2.67GB anyway... |

Click on the Java SE Downloads link above... The file you want is Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 4 (If you encounter problems with the latest iteration of Java, you may need to download and install an older version. There is further info regarding this problem within these Gnutella Forums... Have a good search !) Download it by Saving the file to a suitable folder... Run the installation from your saved copy of the file... Do NOT download and 'auto' install the file 'on-line'. Be certain to install Java in the same partition as your LimeWire installation folder. Let us know if it worked, OK ?
