![]() I just renewed Limewire PRO and the installation was very easy to do. When running limewire (new version 4.16) it uses up more RAM than the original 4.12 that I am used to using. Does this mean I need to go out and buy more RAM up to 1 to 2 GB's. My PC has 512 Megabytes installed in here. Limewire is a RAM guzzler now I cannot upgrade anymore than this. This program took up to 112 Megs up RAM at the beginning of the session. I might just end up using Frostwire for now until I get more RAM to use Limewire PRO 4.16 ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() Ways to reduce ram use: * Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link) * And reduce shared files if over 2,000 * Disable Ultrapeer capabilities under Advanced options > Performance. Perhaps the other options on that window too. * Close LW periodically. * Check your version of Java .. some versions may be less ram efficient or work better on your system. * Close off searches you finished with. * Set uploads & downloads to auto clear after completion. But 512 MB ram nowadays is a little small. |
