Limewire needs Java to function properly.
Try This. You may have more than one Version of Java causing the problem or its not the latest version. Be sure to use the Offline Installer. Remove All Java versions installed (via Add/Remove Programs) before you install the latest Version. (Download the JRE Offline Installer) Java SE Downloads Fourth one Down.
