![]() I know it's probably not caused by limewire, but BSOD shows up every time after i start using limewire, sometimes after 15 mins to 2-3 hours. Im adding minidump file which shows that problem is my cable modem, but modem driver is up to dated. I did add some new hardware (ASUS P5KC motherboard, Nvidia GEforce 8600 silent, 2GB Kingston RAM, Intel Core2Duo E4500 CPU) , but modem is the same (Scientific Atlanta Webstar 2000) and before i didn't have this problem. Then i uninstalled spyware doctor and norton and installed Kaspersky and BSOD stopped. Im using limewire v4.16.6, and java 1.6. and of course winxppro sp2. Since I prefer norton and SD then kaspersky, I installed it again, and BSOD, only while using limewire, started again. Can you help me to have all three (or two, cos maybe just one of mentioned programs causes the problems) installed without BSOD or i'll deffinitely have to change either limewire or norton with some suitable software. Just to mention that I also limited speed and disabled ultrapeer capacity but it didn't help. |

![]() If using Kaspersky stopped the BSOD I'd say stick with what works and forget about Norton. (Kaspersky is a very reputable AV program). There must be something in one of those two applications that does'nt agree with your new setup. Maybe you could try un-installing LimeWire and re-installing that and see what happens... I'm afraid this is one problem I can't suggest much in the way of help. The only other thing I can suggest is for you is to install the apps one at a time and hope to narrow it down to which one is causing the problem. I would install Norton without Spyware Doctor and see if the BSOD stops then, and then uninstall Norton and try installing SD on it's own. Hoping that somehow you can narrow it down to which one is causing the interference with your new system. You certainly did a big update of hardware devices. You nearly have a completely new computer with all the things you have installed in the upgrade. Maybe you could borrow someone elses modem for a couple of hours and that would help to narrow your search down a bit more. Good luck with your investigations. I hope you can find which of these applications are causing these BSOD's It must be very frustrating! |
