Default limewire is messed up. what should i do (LW keeps restarting)

Ok. About two days ago I thought maybe i could download limewire pro off of limewire. After downloading it i went to lauch and it sayed it couldnt work. I thought it was just a bad file or something like that. Then I tried to download another program and then all of a sudden this all black page went up and it sayed that something like "document.exe" or something like that. But it just closed out all of a sudden. Then I close out of limewire and exit from the task managers, then all of a sudden limewire starts back up without any clicking. I went to my documents and tried to clear anything that may seem unwanted. After i restarted the computer it still came back. Then i thought i should have unistalled it. I tried that, then that same limewire intro page came up and closed out. and then i got a message from java saying that i needed to re install limewire. I did that. So how do i stop making limewire coming back on the task manager?

Sounds like you have picked up a virus or trojan file. Perhaps you didn't download LimeWire pro from the correct LimeWire genuiine home page.
Read as many of the "Sticky" threads at the beginning of these forums as you can.
Among them you should be able to find an answer to solve your current problem.
This LimeWire popping up by itself and hiding your taskmanager folder is a common problem that comes about through downloading a bogus file. There are so many jerks posing as genuine Limewire sites that you have to be really careful about who you give your money too. I hope this helps you in some way. but ususally most people find an answer to their problems in one or the other of those "Sticky" forum entries. (That is where most of the forum moderators have posted methods to solve problems like yours)
if you can't find an answer in one of them post back here and hope that one of the moderators (like Birdy) help you out.
Good luck!

Before you uninstalled LW/FW, were you having problems with the app(s) opening by itself all the time & refusing to stay closed? If that's the case, your computer might be infected & you should scan your computer with a good, updated AV program. Check out the thread below for links to online scans & more info about the virus.
* WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! *

If that doesn't help, try AVG Free AV & see whether it finds any malware!
AVG free
Make sure to update AVG before you scan your computer.
