Hey,
While I was using limewire and searching for a popular mp3 and I encountered my search result number stop at 3000. I thought it was just a fluke when it happened again on another file. This has been happening for over a week! I am running Xp (same problem on 2000 though). I use t3 (which is when I get the 3000 search limit. Otherwise I wouldn't get that many hosts + results ) Is ther a setting to change this? -stealthspy |

There is no way to increase this limit in the program -- it's hard coded. We put this in because search results actually take up quite a bit of memory, especially when you have thousands of them. So, if we put no limit on this, doing a lot of popular searches could fill up your available memory pretty quickly.
Thanks. |

Some of us have a lot of RAM, and we really enjoy the way Limewire leaks memory. (Win Me OS) I have to periodically go an run MemTurbo to recapture the leaked memory when running Limewire. Of course, what I REALLY want is for the programmers to fix 2.2.3 so that it uses the incomplete folder again.
Did no one test this out before the release? <QA grumble grumble QA mumble> |
