Question I think the songs are in the wrong format?? HELP!

Heres my situation:
My friend sent me a video one day that would only play on the quicktime player. [it had nothing to do with lime wire] After that all the search results for songs came up with the little quicktime symbol next to it, and when i down loaded them they wouldn't play on my WMP.
I'm a beginner user with lime wire so i really dont know how to fix it. I would appreciate if someone could help me fix it!

Thanks!

right click a song (in Windows not Limewire), choose open with.. -> other

then highlight WMP and choose always use this program. press ok

That should do it. If not then post back what didn't work.

Thanks! For the most part things are working.
The songs that wont play after I've downloaded them are the ones that say "wav" next to the tittle... Why is that?

hmm I though WMP plays wav files too, but guess not. Wave sound is uncompressed audio, so just either find a plugin for WMP online or use another player e.g. WinAmp

Do you know of a certain plugin that i need?

Also, If I Choose a different player how do i copy all of my library to it?

I'm sorry if I'm annoying you with questions. I'm not too great with all the technical computer stuff :[

.wav files will play in Windows Media player just fine.
All you've got to do is the same procedure you did for the video files and music files with the .wav extension should play in WMP just as well as any other type of music file.
