When I finish downloading a file, a little window pops up saying t's done. How do I turn this off?

Tools > Options > View > Popups. Uncheck "Show Notifications" > Apply > OK.

Click on the Subscribed threads link on your User Control Panel. Another method is to click on your user name in this post, choose either Find all posts by jefkafkhf or Find all threads started by jefkafkhf.

Oh you mean about creating a new thread. I thought you were looking for previous threads you were involved in. Go to section, click on New Thread button top left. For example in this section, click on either Go button below right, or General Windows Support link above. Or choose your section from the Go drop down menu. Once in that section, reiterating, click on the New Thread button top left of section index.
