Recently my LimeWire has started to lag when I play songs. They will start to play, and then LimeWire will freeze and the songs will "studder" for 30 seconds or so. I feel like it could be something to do with my computer's memory, but then again many of you have had this problem. Are there any tricks or things I can do to help LimeWire run faster without lags? Thank you.

Are you using the LW player? If so, try disabling the LW player (tools > options > player) & using something else... does the same thing happen?
The LW player's not good, it can really suffer if you're uploading or downloading while trying to play songs I'd recommend disabling it permanently & using another player. If you're looking for a player, try VLC. It's free, reliable & plays most file types. Check the link here for info about VLC & other players: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/tips-t...p3-fixers.html |

If you have Disabled the LW Player, VLC should Play the Files if you have made it the Default Player.

While in the LW Library, left click on Explore. This will take you to the Shared/Saved Folder on the HDD. Now Right Click on any file. Highlight "Open With" Click on "Choose Program". Now Click on VLC and Place a check in "Always use the Selected Program... Click OK.
This should set VLC as the Default Player. |
