limewire not opening at all

ok i had limewire pro on my pc, and now all of the sudden it stoped working, i click on the link to open limewire, and nothing happens, thinking this might a proplem with the file i uninstall and reinstall and still nothing. can someone please help me figure this out?

It May be a Java Issue

Try uninstalling all versions of Java from add/remove programs and then use Crap Cleaner to clean the registry.

Try updating to the latest version of Java here Java SE Downloads (First JRE 1.6.10)Useing the JRE Offline Installer.

If the latest update gives you any problems, try this older version, which has worked well for lots of people: Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

yes it would seem the update is the cause of the problem, i got the file you told me to d/l and it worked, then it updated and boom it didn't work any more
