Default Limewire doesnt work...

Ok ill get straight to the problem.

My limewire doesnt work at all.

ill go step by step

1. I go to start to start limewire(even though before it would start automatically)
2. Limewire will get stuck in the Upgrade to pro screen(with Later Why and Now) or sometimes it will reach the main page of limewire
*3. if it reaches the main page i will try to go to library or type in something but nothing will happen, like its stuck
*3.1 if it doesnt happen it still goes to #4
4. Limewire is on my taskbar so i try to right click it to exit but when i right click nothing happens at all
5. I wind up ctrl+alt+deleting it and closing it.

This is really frustrating because i had a lot of songs there and i dont want to download again

I already tried un-installing it then installing it (from the same folder, didnt download anything new)

PS: can anybody give the folder of the songs? mine were in a different place from my main limewire folder, like if you press explore can you give me the whole adress?

BTW- if i go to recent documents it will show some of my limewire songs then when i click it it will say
"the drive or connection that the shortcut "name of song.lnk" refers to is unavailable make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again.

again any help is appreciated

Search computer -> .mp3 or whichever file extension you normally use. One of the search results will point to that extra folder. Make a shortcut of it just in case, perhaps.

Could be several things where the problem lies; LW prefs corrupted, Java issues, too many incomplete files.

1. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

If that does not fix it, do below:

2. Follow directions here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/333278-post2.html

Im sorry if i sound stupid but where can i find the folder?

In my limewire folder i only have 3 sub folders
.Network Share --> Installer
lib --> leads to a lot of things like clink, commons-net, foxtrot, a limewire icon, system utilities etc..
root --> magnet 10 --> things like silent detect, options, canHandle.img, badge.img and a limewire gif

can you tell me whats the normal file extension? i never changed the settings of my limewire

Delete the entire LimeWire folder you found in Application Data. Then do the other steps.
