![]() Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See this thread for more info (it's a thread about connection problems, but has a big section with instructions for how to delete the prefs folder): If LW Will Not Connect ![]() |

![]() I tried to delete the preference folders as you suggested but to no avail. I then uninstalled LW did a regestery clean up and reinstalled. Still won't work so did the steps again and the only thing I can get to come up is the LW Setup Wizard? LW starts and then just the wizard.....I'm lost ![]() |

![]() Ok, go through the wizard again & when you get to misc settings, where you can't go any further - click on the bottom of the setup wizard box & drag it downwards. Now you should see the 'back' & 'next' buttons ![]() If dragging the box doesn't bring up the buttons, try the tips here: setup freezes |

![]() If you're getting crappy searches (this is a problem for a lot of people right now), click on LW's Connections tab (if you don't see a Connections tab, click on View > Show/Hide > tick Connections). You'll see the hosts (ultrapeers) that you're connected to... right click on a host > remove. You can do that for all ultrapeers that you're connected to - they'll be replaced by new UPs. Does this help at all? If results are reeeally sparse, try either deleting LW's preferences folder or deleting/replacing your gnutella.net file. There's info here (it's a connection probs thread but still has the info you need): If LW Will Not Connect If your search results are full of spam, try this hostiles list - it might cut down on the amount of spam that you see: The TechNutopia Fullsize Hostiles List for BearShare and LimeWire |
