LW5 shutting down when playing .mpg

Just upgraded to 5.0 and it loaded my old library from 4. whatever. Now when I try play a movie from the library:

when trying to play an .avi file, it just won't play. Just doesn't do anything. Real is my normal default for .avi's. If I try to play a. mpg, it shuts down the entire Limewire program. The only movies that still work are .wmv's.

I've re-installed 5.0 and am still having the same problem.

Have you tried playing them with VLC player instead? Would need to make VLC the default player for those file formats however (not real files however.) VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site)

Thanks for your response. The VLC worked and LW is not shutting down anymore with .mpgs. And it's even playing the .avi's even though I didn't see it in the preferences.
