Every time i try to open lime Wire i get a fatal error message and need help getting it to work, the error is below.

I have exactly the same problem .... I tried all the 8 steps but it still won't work ... any further help??

Depends on operating system you are using also. If you are using Windows 98 for example, you are restricted to an earlier version of Java 1.6. But then sometimes one version of Java works better for some people.

Try installing LW into a different location.

I tried these too, but it still won't work .... I did everything on your list ....

When i got this message, it turned out that i had a Trojan. Is your computer running unusually slow? Check your task manager, and see if there are any processes taking up memory that it shouldn't.

I realise what the problem is now. It is just that somehow McAfee has blocked it. Now I change the setting in McAfee then it works fine again.

You may need to re-apply the image. The image itself does not load but the link to the other site works fine. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/signat...ic202350_5.gif does not work.
