Many thanks for your advice and for responding so quickly to my please for help. I am delighted to advise that the problem with downloading the necessary java is has been resolved. I did follow through with your suggestions, However the problem with installing Java was resolved with a laughably simple idea. I pass it on for what its worth, That is to change the file to which the Java is to be installed. There is a tick box allowing you to change prior to installation. I changed the file to new java and weyhay in it went no problem. It beggars belief that such a simple remedy is apparently either not known or ignored by those responsible at Sun(java), I now understand that this 25099 error has been ongoing for a long time. However I really would like to thank you for your kindly and helpful advice, we lesser geeks do rely on your expertise, cordially david
